Takaosan is a sightseeing spot that can be reached in about an hour by Keio Line from Shinjuku station ,Tokyo.
Many tourists visit because it is possible to climb the mountain on a day trip from Tokyo.

It takes about fifty minutes to reach the top of Mt. Takao if you take cable car or lift,
