Hotaruna was designed by Matsumoto Reiji who is known as Master of Anime.
The masterpieces of Matsumoto Reiji are “The Galaxy Express 999” and “Space Battleship Yamato”.
Hotaruna is designed with the image of spaceship.
The space inside the ship is like a spaceship.
The characters of the galaxy express 999 are making inboard announcement.
The name “Hotaruna” was created by combining two words: Hotaru and Luna.
“Hotaru” means firefly. The Fireflies were flying on Sumida River once.
There is a cafe on the ship that sells the ice cream, alcohol, softdrink etc. .
