“Tsumugi’s 18-course breakfast” is very popular and is served only 110 meals a day.
Therefore, restaurants distribute numbered tickets.
On weekends, the numbered tickets are sold out at 8 o’clock at the opening time of the restaurant.

Amida Nyorai, the principal of Tsukiji Honganji, has made 48 vows. The 18th out of 48 has a pledge to “never forsake you”, after which 18 items are offered for breakfast.

Tsukiji Honganji has an oriental atmosphere, such as the characteristic exterior imitating the ancient Indian Buddhist style, the stained glass at the entrance of the main hall,
and the sculptures of many animals.
