Sunshine Aquarium is the only aquarium in Japan which is located in rooftop of the building
and is surrounded by skyscrapers in big city.
Even if you are in big city, you can feel the nature; Green, Sky, water and wind.
Aquarium features
There are two areas in aquarium which are Outdoor area and Indoor area.
・Outdoor area
You can see Penguins, Pelicans, See Lions、Otters, etc.
The most exciting part of the sunshine aquarium is Penguin’s Dive Show.
It looks like Penguins are flying in the sky in the middle of the metropolitan.
It is better to check out the Penguins’s Dive Show Time Schedule on the web site
because the shows are held a couple of times a day.

・Indoor area
Indoor area is blue and dark, so that it is like you are int the middle of the Ocean.
You can see lots of fishes, mammals, jellyfish, stingray, sharks, baby seal, etc.
You can learn what kind of environment creatures of the sea live.
What I recommend is “Sunshine Lagoon”.
A Variety of fishes are swimming in Sunshine Lagoon big aquarium.
There is the TULLY’S Coffee Shop in the Sunshine Aquarium.
You can take a break having a cup of coffee.

It takes ten minutes to get SunShine Aquarium from Ikebukuro Station
・Higashi Ikebukuro Station (Yurakucho Line)
It takes five minutes to get SunShine Aquarium from Higashi Ikebukuro Station.
